Shin's story

shin invited us to chill out last night..my life and i were waiting for him in my crib, living room..(around 11:30 in the evening)

'where in the world is in-law? he's 10 minutes late' my life said while playing his psp.

'i don't know, maybe he's still with his gang' i answered, my arms folded.

'oh, do they always have meetings every night?'

'i don't know either'

'eh? he lives in this house right? why didn't you know?'

'hm, because i don't know' i chuckled 'i sleep early and i only stay inside my room so i really don't see him that much except when he's in the silly mood.'

'what silly mood?'

'well, when he's in his silly mood...he distracts me all night. he sings, dances, tell stories, acts in front of me, etc. he even sleeps beside me.'

'he sleeps beside you?!' my life exclaimed.

'oh...relax, my life...he's my cousin remember?' i patted his head.

'right, i forgot' my life laughed and i shook my head. 'hm, my life?'

'yes?' i answered.

'are they asleep?' my life grinned.

'yes, they are. why?' i looked at him.

my life gently pushed me on the sofa and he was over me. he kissed me on my forehead, down to my nose and to my lips. he smiled sweetly.

'i thought you wanted me to initiate our ML, my life.' i told him.

'nah, i'm loosing my energy whenever you do it.' he winked.

'then let me do it again' i smiled at him. i exchanged places with him and started to kiss him.

'your hands are cold, my life...' he murmured.

'then let it melt with your heat...'

'i'm home!' shin shouted, and when he saw us 'what the hell!!!!!!?????!!!!!???? what the hell are you doing??????!!!!!?????'

'you are...interefering with us, can't you see?' i smiled and sat down again.

'well, it is not my fault you know! you two must not be doing that..that...in this kind of place!' shin exclaimed.

'this place is private, in-law...' my life said.

'it ain't private!' shin shouted, 'geez, do you always do that in the living room?' he leaned on the wall, hands in his pocket.

'no!' i exclaimed.

'it just happened that you, in-law, saw us. it's your fault anyway, if you are not late..then it won't happen, right, my life?'

'right. why are you late?'

'ah...yeah, i went to congratulate our new member a while ago' he smiled.

'oh, really? that's good' my life smiled. 'so...let's go?'

'yosh!' shin winked at us and went outside. i held my life's hand and followed shin.

'sweet.' my life said.

'what? you don't like it?'

'i do, really.' he held my hand tightly.

outside..shin saw us again.
'would you stop doing that...' shin said while pointing on our hands.

'this? beh..'

'oh...cmon, i'm not used to it! whaaa!!!!'

'then you must' my life hugged and kissed me. 'see?' he winked.

'hmf...alright. let's go.' shin said.

'ok ok...' my life answered. ' let's do some more PDA my life...let's tease him more' he grinned.

i chuckled, 'he might have a heart attack if we do it often'

'maybe not--'

i pressed my lips on his...'we can't do it in public...especially in the club that we're going. ok?'

'alright!'

'good...' i smiled.

'then, can we do it later?' my life said naughtily.

'let me think about it.' i chuckled.

we went to a club and sat on the VIP area. '
it's time to drink!' shin said. 'hm, lemmesee what's good here.'

'sure...' i said.

'my treat.' shin winked.

'wow, in law! thank you for the first time...you are treating us'

'my pleasure.' shin smiled.

'what's got into you, anyway?' my life asked.

'hm? nothing. i just want to treat you.' shin told the hostess our orders. 'thanks'

'welcome, sir.' the young lady smiled sweetly on shin, 'i'll be back' and went away.

'did you see the look in her eyes on you in law?'

'what?'

'that...sensation...that--'

'nah, hostesses are like that always. to attract more customers, to market themselves and as well as their club. not the products they have. sorta like that. no big deal, in law'

'oh..it's like in the states?'

'hm, i dunnow...it's my first time in a club here in japan.'

'so you really are used to clubs in the states?' i asked.

'not really, i do go in clubs occassionally.'

'wow, you're a good boy in law.'

'no comment on that. it's just that i'm more focused on my studies especially i'm a theater student. i really love what i am doing in the states.' shin smiled.

'i see...so, do you have lots of friends in the states?' my life asked. i was playing the psp so i am not in their conversation for now.

'quite. almost asians.'

'no niggas, westerners?'

'hey, don't say niggas'

'why?'

'you wanna die?' shin smiled.

'hah! before they can kill me, i have killed them!'

'good then.hmm..you are asking why? i don't know either.'

'you're like prince, you don't know everything.' my life laughed, 'kidding!'

'pff...' i murmured.

'hm, so do you really wanted to act?'

'i do! it's my dream ever since!' shin grinned.

'then why don't you join showbizness?'

'showbizness is not good. i'd rather be a theater actor than an actor in hollywood. furthermore, i do want to preserve classicality in the theater side of of the world.'

'preserve, in what terms?'

'well, i think theaters are slowly dying. that's why.'

'here are your orders.' the hostess said while smiling. 'enjoy your drinks.'

'thanks.' shin answered, 'ugh..what's this?'

'what?' my life asked.

'this...' shin handed him down the tissue paper.

'it's her phone number...' my life said.' wow, in law. you have a good appeal on girls huh...just like me!'

both of them laughed their heads off. i pinched my life's nose so hard.
*we're drinking this time

'silly' i said.

'ouch..ouch..ouch! that really hurts..' my life pouted his lips. 'sorry...prince..'

'you two are really too adorable to look at.' shin said while he crumpled the tissue paper with he hostess' number.

'oh..in law's envious of us!' my life chuckled, 'in-law...how many ex-girlfriend do you have?'

'hm, as far as i remember...i do have 8.'

'did all of them break up with you?'

'hm, the 5 of them broke up with me while i broke with the other 3..'

'why is that so? please tell us.' my life smiled.

'the reasons of the other 5 were: i was insensitive, i was not too serious on things, i was...i forgot the other reasons. i broke with the other three coz they just played with me. and everytime girls do that, i'm going to sing...'quit playing games with my heart...with my heart' shin chuckled.

'you are a good singer too?'

'maybe?' shin grinned.

'oh..cmon, shin...don't be to humble in front of us.' i teased him.

'alright. well, i do dance, sing, act. wait, i do all of those whenever i act.' shin laughed.

'cool...btw, how many of them do you fall in love with so deeply?'

'guess.' shin smiled.

'hm, 2?' my life answered.

'nah, wrong answer. only one of them in law.'

'so what happened?'

'hm...she was my first ever girlfriend. i first met her at this street in New York, it was raining and she was soaking wet. i tried to follow her but she was really walking too fast. all i wanted that time was to lend my umbrella to her.'

'you mean, love at first sight?'

'yes.'

'then?'

'then she stopped in front of a coffee shop, she's on chills. i went inside the coffee shop and bought a cup of hot coffee for her. i approached her..

you walk too fast...' i said while we were under one umbrella.

huh?' that lady answered, do i know you?'

nope' i answered and handed her the cup of coffee, here...please accept this.'

'oh, thank you very much!' she smiled at me sweetly and sipped the coffee..

'we became silent for sometime...' shin said.

'what's her name? what's her name?' my life answered.

'her name was sam, 2 years older than me.'

'she's an american?'

'yup, hm...we broke up after i knew about that she's a two-timer.'

'hey! no skipping of the details! what happened? how did you court her?'

'i got an amnesia!' shin laughed. 'that's all. thanks for listening!' he grinned.

'oh, come on! that's unfair! so..unfair!' my life exclaimed while shin was only laughing.

'so...how about mandy? do you really love her?' i uttered.

'mandy...' shin smiled. 'oh, mandy when you kiss me and stop me from shaking..oh i need you today..oh..mandy...' shin sang.

'nice nice...' my life complimented.

'no..what? shin?' i looked at him.

'i am falling for her but i don't know if she'll catch me.' shin answered, 'i don't want to assume and rush things right now.'

'tell us, are you jealous about that toshi guy?' my life asked.

'do i need to be? i'm not mandy's boyfriend on the first place. besides, i think they like each other. i'm not going to interfere with their own business.'

'oh my goodness, you are too pessimistic, in law.'

'but, i was just saying the truth. it's obvious, can't you see?'

'we can but how about your feelings?'

'it's alright, in law. no worries here. cmon, just drink..we're here to chill out and not to talk about those things.' shin smiled.

'we want to talk about that! right, my life?'

'right.' i agreed on my life, that was our plan.

'then why didn't you try to court her?'

'hm? we still need to know more about each other, i think?'

'hm, love at first sight?'

'no.'

'what?'

'i think she's the only person who really understands me and i'm so thankful for that.'

'we understand you too!' my life laughed.

'i know you do..but she's different...' shin stood up. 'i'm done drinking.'

'that fast?' my life asked. 'let's drink some more.' he smiled.

thanks but no thanks. i'm leaving.' shin answered, left the cold cash on the table and went out.

'wait!' ryuu grabbed my hand and we followed shin.

outside the bar, we saw the hostess and other two guys...

'play with us, miss...' first guy said.

'no..please go away!' the hostess shouted.

'we won't unless you come with us...' the 2nd guy held tightly on her arms.

'let me go!'

shin went on them and pushed the two guys.

'geez, so ungentle. she's a girl you know. stop being a dick.'

'and who the hell are you?!'

'please leave now--'

the 1st guy punched shin and shin punched him too.

'stupid frickin moron!' shin wiped the blood from his mouth.


'hey, aren't we going to help shin?' my life asked me.

'he can handle it. he's a gangster, remember? just stay back and relax.'

'yeah.'

'but we'll help him if he can't.'


'fuck you!' 2nd guy shouted.

'fuck yourself! you stupid piece of shit!' shin answered and wow, he beat them so fast. the two guys ran away. 'don't you ever dare to fight with me again, or else i'll crush your bones, there won't be anything left! i'll kill you even if you're dead!'

'oh my...my prince, in law's scary.'

'i think so?' i said.

'oh...are you alright?' the hostess approached him and held his face.

'i am, are you hurt?' shin asked.

'quite...' the hostess answered...'thank you for saving me...'

'it's no--'

the hostess hugged him and kissed him.

'wai...wait...' shin gently pushed her away from him.

'what? don't you like me?' the hostess asked.

shin shooked his head, 'sorry, but i'm not nterested. a simple thank you would be fine but a kiss, nah...it's not good. yo, in law...take good care of my little cousin. i gotta go.' he waved his hand.

'hey!' the hostess shouted

'in law! don't leave us like this, we're still not finish with our chit-chat!!' my life exclaimed.

shin stopped walking and faced us, 'i have told you, right? admiration is the furthest thing from understanding. maybe, i don't understand all of this. besides i'm just a plain theater actor and i'm not as good as you, in-law. not as good as prince too.' he walked away.

'i'm getting the chills, my life...he's serious all night.'

'yeah...i think so...it's my first time too to see him so serious.'
